Is it a recessive gene is it some thing that is one gene to express tuxedo and two to be white or what I want it off of my special hens babies and I don’t know how to do it one of the babies is from my special henCan someone explain to me how you get tuxedo so I can better understand how to get rid of it
I only have the one hen with the coloring I want to breed for I just hatched one of her eggs so now I have another just like her I hope its a male then I can breed the two togethermaybe someone else can give more or better info, but my basic understanding of genetics is that tuxedo originates in mixing a color x white. should follow basic punnett square genetics from point of origin. in order to get rid of it, you would have to “breed it out” by generations of selective breeding. the alternative would be to start with breeding stock of pure color and cull out any showing hidden tux gene.
Get rid of white birds. Can someone explain to me how you get tuxedo so I can better understand how to get rid of it

Well I know that but I want to keep the coloring but get rid of tuxI don't think I am understanding.
It's going to take MULTIPLE breedings to get rid of it.
You can't breed it just one time.
