➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

That looks a lot like the one I had a foot come out of. I ended up helping her out of the egg, and she lived a happy, reasonably healthy life with her crooked neck until she got big enough to eat.
Oh no you don't...you are not going to convince me to help.
They are on their own.
I'm just 🧐

This is why you need two incubators. You can use one as an incubator and the second as a dedicated hatcher while you do continuous hatches.

Besides the incubator stays much cleaner than the hatcher since there is no chick dander released.
I have three incubators. One doesn't have a working egg turner, so it works nicely as a lockdown 'bator. It's small, though, so its only good for the smaller batches.

Both on my incubators with working turners are in use right now. The buttons should be hatching today, though, so I can put the new eggs into that one if they arrive before my fee batch is finished hatching.

Send me some 😁 no one will send me eggs 😂 I'll find some eventually that are local but it would be fun to hatch someone's mystery eggs. I like mystery mutt eggs
I like the homegrowns better!!!
Surprises all around!

Unless you screw up and put too many varieties in them, then you need a 3rd for a hatcher!!!

What I'm trying to say is I am a mean tough ugly person and I can't kill a dummy.
There is not way in the world sweet you will be able to off one.
@KDOGG331 will become a poultry & game bird hoarder!!!
Oh, dear. What does that say about me? I killed eight on Friday!
Means you are proficient in bird math (addition, subtraction & multiplication)!!!
Realist!

You are special.
I am going to be special one day....way before Kdog will be.
It is hatchet and gallows day today!!!
My new setup...

My husband always did the deed and I thought handing the birds to him to kill was hard. Then, last year, he hurt his hand before butcher day and I had to, ah, get more involved. I almost dropped the first chicken, and was shaking pretty hard after it was done. Very glad his hand is healed and I can go back to handing off.
