I meant how much to charge to incubate them. Maybe I would make it really cheap like $5/20 or something like that. Free for repeat customers.Makes them order the eggs and have them shipped to you.
Or do you mean how much do you charge to actually incubate them?
I don't know because I do it for free.
Varies with the rooster, the weather, and the flock situation. The EHAL isn't for a month still, so there's time.Hey wait a second..... I just thought of something.... how long to roosters take to be fertile!? Do you think they’ll be ready for the Easter hatchalong!?![]()

Use your sadistics on her! That'll teach her! Math! It's still a statistically significant portion, since I assume you're talking about a batch of 20 or 30.
Any guarantees? If I buy 500 eggs, I want 500 chicks.I meant how much to charge to incubate them. Maybe I would make it really cheap like $5/20 or something like that. Free for repeat customers.
I didn't mean to. Someone gave me 27 button eggs (only 4 hatched), I got a great deal on two Falb Fee auctions, and I had to set some of my own eggs to see what they look like.
My latest accidental win just shipped today with another 60 eggs. I blame @Kiki she forced me to bid.![]()
Heck no I didn't buy them on purpose... Well not the first time.
No but I got it right after ghetto bator.
I have new equipment this year, so if all goes well, the high rates of lockdown deaths shouldn't occur any more. I'll only have the genetics of the birds I hatch from to contend with. I will be supplementing their nutrition more heavily this year in an attempt to increase shell and membrane quality.
THIS.
Panicking is an understatement.
I would have to look at my import/export logs, but I am fairly sure that I ended up selling most of the chicks I hatched from previous years.
Embarrassing.
Weren't you just going to toss them or something?
I don't remember.
But what I do remember is not sleeping for what felt like days.
If they're purchasing the eggs from someone like MyShire I would abide by their guaranteed hatch rate. If they want me to hatch their home grown eggs I would guarantee something like 75%. If they don't hatch that many, I'll hatch another batch for free.Use your sadistics on her! That'll teach her! Math!

Might have to teach them that depending on the eggs and delivery, the hatch rate could be anywhere between 0 and 100%. We know the incubation will be perfect.
MyShire has a public Facebook page for the auctions. It went private for a bit, but it's back open to the public now.Where are you bidding?
