That depends on what time of day you set the eggs. If you set them in the morning then you can call it day 1 but if you set them in the evening, it is best to call the next day, day 1.So you count the 1st day as 1 not zero. I don't know but I think I decided to not use a tank because I think someone told me it does get stinky fast.At least in the fall, if not year round, I’m keeping a few quail in the sun porch or house.
I am aware of how bad the tank will get with pine, but what about sand? Will quail in a tank (20 or 55) get as messy and smelly?
Idk about stinky but my chicks sure can dirty it fast and poop a tonI don't know but I think I decided to not use a tank because I think someone told me it does get stinky fast.
