I sacrificed 2 eggs today, they don't look fertile.

Don't waste them. Just collect 20 ish and put them in the bator.
Bullseyes are dumb. I don't trust my eyes when trying to determine if an egg is fertile that way.

No but I've seen boys doing their thing out there.

I hard boiled the eggs I've collected so far. I'm going to try one of your pickling recipes

Interesting thing about runts (not counting Texas babies, cause they are always smaller).
I had 2 runts last hatch, and when I was annoying them/hand feeding baby crickets, I noticed that they both had terrible eye sight. They would try to peck a cricket, but peck almost 1cm away from the cricket. So they almost never actually got the cricket they were trying to pick up, or if they did, they'd put it down again, and not be able to pick it back up
I figured so long as they appeared to be eating/drinking/growing/otherwise healthy, I'd let them grow out. But definitely will not join the breeding family.
They look good now, not much smaller than others. I will definitely be banding a seperate colour if I get any gumby ones from this hatch.

How do you process Guinea Fowl? There was something about a million pages back about not lobbing heads off. (I forgot to ask back there!)

I shoot them, preferably in the head. Pithing is also supposed to work well.

A nice air rifle works great.

Knife on the left front side of the neck works also. I tend to hand them by the feet first.
