Quail getting into position to break out of the egg
When you say small, you are talking in relation to the hatch mates. In theory, this line was bred for size, so small may be normal that will be culled for missing standard. I'll be selecting for size also. Since I can only compare hatch mates, I'm not sure what small is. My smallest one has feet issues. Maybe related? Attitude and activity seem normal.

Anyway, this is baseline for me. We will learn from here.
 
I just saw my first foam, by the time I ran back inside to get the camera it already decreased in size. The foam:

Yes this one runty is smaller than it's hatch mates. Not by too much but I notice it.
I'll try to get pics.

I'll stick to just poop.
The foam disappears so it's not going to bother me.
