I put the big quail cage in the chicken run so the chickens can clean up under the quail on wire. With or without the no mess.

For the no mess feeders, I put a rock in it for weight. Otherwise, the quail will tip it over and feed the chickens ALL their food and then act all hungry. Put a rock in it. They will eat around the rock.

And so it begins...3 hatched so far; this was the first one...

Set: 30 eggs on May 11 9am
Locked down: 22 eggs on May 25 9am (of the original 30, 2 quit early on and 6 never developed)
Hatched: TBD

Got the 5 amigos moved to the brooder with mr button before leaving. Had 2 more finally zipping so I gave instructions for the boys to keep humidity up and transfer to brooder Friday. Rocket and Loki got to move back out to shed brooder with Hawkeye and Thor (and I even managed to clean both brooders)
