➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Didn’t get a chance to watch till just now, but what are you looking for when you candle? Just veins and movement? How do you know when they are quiters?
For this video I'm not looking for movement at all just veins.
I have two quitters in my incubator now I will get a video of both of them in a few minutes just for you.

I just separated out my babies.
I have 21.
Do you want to guess how many of those 21 are female?
A video is uploading now.

I’m feeling so awful right now...today I got two baby Celadon quail and my 7 year old left the door open and my dog ate them. I’m so very sad, they were so sweet and gentle unlike my other baby quails and my daughter feels like the “worst person on the planet”. I know these things happen, but I hate being the reason and I’m so upset with myself that I didn’t secure them better. I was just giving them time to settle before trying to integrate them :-( I’ve been crying for over an hour...I just needed to tell someone. I’m so very sad.
It's ok...it happens.

I was sick to my stomach the first time my dog ate escaped quail.

Now I realize it's not as bad as I once thought it was. Good healthy snack.

Jumbo yellers!?
I hope they are female jumbo yellers! Only 2 out of the 32 that have hatched so far are yeller. 1 in the incubator and 1 zipping.

33/39 decent hatch at 85% that made it to lockdown.
33/50 started is 66% which is passable.

The two huge eggs that didn't look to be double yolkers are remaining. One pipped and stopped. Just too large to develop.
