Hmm...when I google painters tape this blue scotch tape is what comes up. Is painters tape white?
That is painters tape, scotch tape is clear or opaque and usually comes on a plastic dispenser, sometimes in small rolls you put in a desk dispenser. Scotch tape is about 3/4 in wide or less, painters tape and masking tape are usually 3/4 in or more. Painters and masking tape are like sticky paper and you can tear them easily, scotch tape is plastic and must be cut or use the serated cutter on the dispenser.

Okay, so I have normal clear tape, cloth tape, black PVC tape, and scotch tape. Is painters tape the white paper type?

Oh okay, I guess Scotch is also a brand of tape, so that was confusing. Thanks!!

Yes scotch is a brand that has like a green plaid logo. It’s like Velcro, other brands make the same stuff, but most people call it all Velcro, not hook and loop fabric fasteners.

Okay, I just finished making his shoes. He is sleeping, but he does balance on his shoes slightly, although he is having some difficulties...

It’s common for them to have trouble walking with the shoes. Make certain he’s getting food and water, you may need to offer him some in a dropper, or make a private little feed and water station you sit him in to eat every few hours.

okay. I took away the waterer for everyone because I am worried he may drown in it. I will dip their beaks every hour/whenever I think about it. So the feet issue is fixed after about 8 hours? What happens if he gets stuck upside down during the night? should I put him in a cup?

I often just put them in the incubator alone with a lid of food and a lid of water with rocks to break the surface so it won’t drown. It might end up on its side or rolling around but they usually figure it out. Tomorrow you remove the shoes, and let him get some practice in without the others banging into him, and he will probably soon be normal.

Okay! Thanks for your help!
