He's been using other eggs as a pillow. Does the chick water need to be warm or at least room temp?
Yes room temperature is fine but don't give this freshly hatched baby anything in the incubator.

We are tied now.

Next time think about purchasing some dollar store shelf liner to lay on the bottom of your incubator for hatch day.
Hey Kiki, when you put the shelf liner on the bottom do you take the lid off then lift each egg then place it down then put them all back? Or what?

That part always gives me the most anxiety, and I’m not sure if there is a better way. 😅

Will do. At least I was half prepared lol. Got a 125w whote light bulb so I have less of a chance of cooking chicks. Currently warming brooder.

Tiny chick is almost dried. Ideal temp is 95-97f correct?

95 would be better.
I prefer 90 ish.

If it was me, I would put the liner in before starting the incubator in the first place.
