Yes room temperature is fine but don't give this freshly hatched baby anything in the incubator. He's been using other eggs as a pillow. Does the chick water need to be warm or at least room temp?

Next time think about purchasing some dollar store shelf liner to lay on the bottom of your incubator for hatch day.Very first hatch! @Kiki
Hey Kiki, when you put the shelf liner on the bottom do you take the lid off then lift each egg then place it down then put them all back? Or what?Next time think about purchasing some dollar store shelf liner to lay on the bottom of your incubator for hatch day.
Will do. At least I was half prepared lol. Got a 125w whote light bulb so I have less of a chance of cooking chicks. Currently warming brooder.Next time think about purchasing some dollar store shelf liner to lay on the bottom of your incubator for hatch day.

Tiny chick is almost dried. Ideal temp is 95-97f correct?
It's lonely. Even when you have a bunch, though, there's almost always one that just screams all the time.
Why does it scream? It's been 15 minutes of this

If it was me, I would put the liner in before starting the incubator in the first place.Hey Kiki, when you put the shelf liner on the bottom do you take the lid off then lift each egg then place it down then put them all back? Or what?
