One of the red range celadons hatched last night! 2 more eggs seem to be beginning to zip, one of which being the one that pipped nearly 36 hours ago… I’m getting a bit worried about that one tbh, hopefully the zipping goes quickly and she’s able to hatch soon! So that’s 2 hatched, 2 zipping, 4 pips, and 5 with no movement.

The little black one has been out for about 18 hours, and since a third popped out just now, I figured I’d take advantage of his moisture to keep the humidity up and grabbed these two out quickly. They were starting to really chase and peck at each other a lot, I’m sure the black one is getting hungry. The ambient humidity in the room hovers right around 50% anyway, and the radiator in there is keeping the room temp around 82-84 degrees. Incubator never dropped below 47% even after being opened, and popped back up to 52% as the newest chick is drying. I did end up moving the heat plate up a bit, as the thermometer was reading 110 underneath it. It’s about 104 under there at this height, which I think is better.
