➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Awwww :love:love:love gorgeous!

Oh I just love these colors.

Thank you!! I don't even know what half of the colors are or how they possibly could have come from my birds :S Yay genetics!

Babies are on an adventure today. They are packed for travel, including the LAST late little pipping egg in my tiny incubator. We are driving five hours to visit my family. No unattended heat lamps at house! They are being so good!

One -week-old, and I’m changing the brooder for the second time in three days. I think I need to add the second floor so it’s at least spread out (and I know that it’s not just wet feed I’m seeing).
They are definitely bigger, and I can finally see it. No pictures because Kiki will die from seeing the dirty bedding.

I'm going to try that grippy mat in my bator. I have been using paper towel, but it does interrupt the humidity a bit.
And soluble vitamins in the water for the freshly hatched I think.

Y'all are teaching me stuff!! :highfive:
I put the grippy mat in at lockdown, when I take my turners out.

Have you guys had a chick that couldn’t walk at hatch? I have one that just looks like it is riding a bicycle in the air and can’t get its feet under itself. I had one last hatch do that too. And it ended up dying. I also have one that looks like one leg is turned waaaay inside and it’s having trouble walking. What is it that I’m doing wrong?
