If they are able to move, eat and drink I would say sure. Just never allow the blood to pass to another. How does everyone feel about keeping half-lame quail still eating, moving, and enjoying life until the 6 week mark? I have two with one weird foot each I can't correct and one with stubby wings I'm considering doing that with. It doesn't really feel worse than putting them down and they're exceptionally healthy aside from the minor defects. I've had my share of VERY deformed baby quail but none in the middle like this before.
