➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Okay. Some gold showed up in his outer row of wing feathers.

BUT! not that much! And I do like the tricolor effect of the pearl-types with orange points, I was just disappointed with how little clean white there was in my older ones. I think this one might still be a better starting point.

Suggestion. Instead of using tape on the sharp plastic edges, take an open flame from a lighter and melt the edges into softness.

Off topic: you guys have to help me. My 6x8x6 greenhouse is now supposed to hold two 6' racks of quail cages, a 4x4 bunny hutch, my 300 gallon ibc aquaponics tote, my 8' long divided fish tank, and somehow all my plants through the winter.

These all seem absolutely essential to me. :lau
We are here for you! It can be done. Ever play jenga or tetris? Go vertical!

Quail in the attic.
Fish on the floor.
Rabbits in the cracks.

I also like the hamster habit trails. See if they make rabbit sized ones.

:lau

@Texas Kiki you haven't put Batty (@BantyChooks ) on the poll yet.

I've heard rumors that she has the incubator warm...

Doors mostly finished on the 6' coop. Paint is drying. Batch #2 sitting in the squirrel cage for now. Outside. In the fresh air. On wire so the poop drops free. Appears the waterer leaks. :(
Yeah, but they haven't hatched yet.

With bunnies.. do you remove the daddy while the mummy is looking after her babies? (And if so, where do you put him???)

I'm over here obsessing over my quail family.. which is in many ways rather silly because my dogs have allergies to all poultry :th and I am paying a zillion dollars per rabbit to feed them
... why aren't I farming rabbits??

According to my research, you put the females with the males, wait for fertilization (2 minutes or 3 successful matings) and put her back in her cage. So, he has his own bachelor pad.

Or you do the group farming things with all of them running around the fenced yard.
