According to my research, you put the females with the males, wait for fertilization (2 minutes or 3 successful matings) and put her back in her cage. So, he has his own bachelor pad.

Or you do the group farming things with all of them running around the fenced yard.

This! Either of these but colony life can be harrowing just like with quail.

I am maaaybe maaaaaaaybe getting one of @Sara L 's babies depending on how the gender spread turns out for her/how many she keeps.

I would ideally have space for a trio total + playpen for babies but as we are seeing space is becoming premium...

Good to know! I have always heard even refrigeration for more than a few hours will affect rates. I did get a couple of live healthy chicks even from my fully frozen batch, just *also* the worst deformities I've had.

I refrigerated balut eggs for whole day and then I stuck them in my incubator and brought them back to life.... I'm pretty sure I would have been able to hatch them had I not overheated them.

My point is I think I believe that you can successfully hatch refrigerated eggs.

We did it. I supervised.

We only did three and I gave them to somebody to try.

Sprouted seeds (various small birdie seeds too lazy to write it out)
Ground up own formulated mix (also too lazy to write out)
Spinach & Kale
Boiled eggs
Rolled oats
Grit
Black Soldier Fly Larvae

Errrmmm think that's it for breakie today
