➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

After looking at the listing I agree. That is a breeder using hot button words he doesn't understand.
If they sound like they aren't SURE of something then run UNLESS they admit to not knowing what they are talking about.
And if you just happen to know that they are saying something wrong but insist they are right...run.

I just took the quail out to feather sex. I lost track of numbers because I was trying to keep track of; maybe, girl, boy, pretty light, pretty dark, and pretty pattern.
Of the Pharoah, I only have one cockerel. I think that’s four girls (now). There’s two light chests with a light red tint I’m calling boys atm, and a mostly Pharaoh looking one that I think was male. I am saying mostly because it wasn’t as plain to tell as the others. So until I re-catch it, I’m saying male.

@Texas Kiki Casper says hi! He just got in all his adult feathers except for his head!

I am very impressed at the speed at which he has found food and water through 3 cage transitions, although he is still growing slower than the others.

Just read the whole JMF site. NEATO. What is the difference between the Meat Maker and the XL Meat?

@Texas Kiki - your part of the world. They are Richards (pronounced the Cajun way) in St. Landry Parish. I'm thinking field trip.
I think this just sold the deal.
I think I need eggs from them.

Yay! That is pretty good.

Ooohhh sorry, I meant, dig up the lawn to run netting, then regrow the lawn for rabbits!

Not really.. I have let my girl eat the quail heads and some of the turkeys. But not the boys. The boys are the problem ones. The little one in particular has just cost several thousand dollars in vet costs because I was feeding him wild caught wallaby meat, and it turns out his body no-likey :barnie

I will do an experiment when I have enough quails/chickens or other critters to fed. Currently they are on crocodile- be dammed if I'm farming crocs!!!!

We have done Nutriscan testing on all of them (its done in USA), so its not just my overactive imagination and health problems talking :old
I gotta reread this in a second. Posting this to remind myself when I get back to this post.
