Or something.
Sex links hurt my brain. Ignore me, I evidently need my coffee, I'm sure they've worked it out :caf
Zack posted a video...it’s been awhile since I watched it. I just remember that it only works for 1 generation as chicks are opposite the parents and this was the cross can be done with different colors, this color cross is easiest to differentiate.

The more I try to research the genetics, the more it hurts my brain too!! I think I will stick with shipped eggs or I wonder what colors I’ll get fro these pretty colors methods!:lau

Without having seen it, I'm pretty sure it would be pharoah male x roux female, giving you the opposite of the parents as you said.

Roux male x pharoah female would give you all pharoah, while breeding to a carrier female would give you a mix of each type in both genders.

I have a roux male I don't *love*, but he's consistently producing offspring better than himself, including roux hens I can use for autosexing crosses, so he may have earned a reprieve.

Hubby helped me move the babies around yesterday and he asked me if I knew all my chicks had yellow heads???:lau “Yes honey.....they are all ssc and will have yellow heads until they finish feathering out” ........they do look kinda funny at this age though in his defense! Hahaha

I did get it backwards apparently, but that makes 0 sense. Wish he'd talked more about genotypes! Starting to think their Egyptians are a totally different gene. Does not make sense if it's actually a recessive.

If you look at it in the context of a dominant sex-linked gene it does make sense, since he is saying carrier females with only 1 copy of the gene will express it (not true with recessives). So idk. Maybe it is not roux dilute! There are a lot of friggin genes :idunno

Yes it does get very confusing! Hubby just realized at 4 hours into our drive that neither of us put the fishing poles in the truck :he This is going to be a fun trip!!

Nooo!!!!!! Rent some if you're able. Stupid feeling but not worth missing a good spot!

Muddy what have you done! I just settled on clearing out most of my extra bins and not experimenting with every color I have and now I am like "maybe mine aren't recessive either and are just a totally similar looking gene, it would explain that pullet that popped up" and have to go set up pairs for testing. :wee
