We’re trying to enjoy the deck and pool today....even set up karaoke corner but I’m freezing my touche off!!! It’s almost like Mother’s Day where I need to light the patio fire pit/heater! The birds seem to be enjoying it music and all!!!!

So my hatch is coming up on three weeks old this weekend. I know it is super early but any idea if the reddish coloration in their chest feathers is an actual sign of being male or can it disappear again and they might be females?

By my very rough count (they don’t hold still much) 12 have some red and 5 have only speckling.

How old are my twins?
I'll have to check but I am 99% sure I have a pair. The male's red is that obvious to me. I do not think I remember the red ever going away once it appears.

Ok I checked...they hatched May 16 so almost a month old. I've been able to tell forvat least a full week if not a little longer now.

Look at what I found an hour ago, next to a waterer in my pens. Another reason Texans carry a gun, even on their own property for these 'uninvited' guests. This is a small one.
