I looked back at my last quail hatch candle pics. I don't think I could see anything until about day 5 or 6.

I've learned my lesson about opening eggs that I am unsure of. These eggs will stay in the bator the whole 18 days.

They JUST started laying. I've never seen him mate and he doesn't crow yet.


I know it is highly unlikely anything will actually hatch. I know it's not wise to set brand new laid eggs...I'm just... Um... Doing an experiment.

I know. I've managed to get my count down to just once a day. I'll make up for the low candle numbers towards the end of the incubation process though.

I do ok until I can see them move. That's when I start having issues!

I put my eggs in my DIYbator on the 13th. I candled them yesterday and they are moving! Tries to upload a vid but it keeps saying the file is too big
