Really cute! Where do you guys get your eggs from in the winter? Sorry Really off topic. I I don't want to use my eggs cause my super aggressive male. I Don't want him to spread his genes.

I ordered mine from Orchard Hill Poultry in GA. I'm in IL. For $6 extra the will add a heat pack to the box for you.

That one needs booties, they will not straighten out on their own. I have found the longer it takes to get out the shell, the chances of their toes curling are increased by a magnitude. Just saying, been there done this.
I think he is no longer doing too well. He still hasn't drank or ate. I don't think he is going to survive anymore.

There is a shortage of Nutri-Drench in my area.
I tried at least 8 stores yesterday... Everyone is out.
I did get this though... I gave him a drop this morning. He did just poop the green Poop!
But his little toes... I am trying to figure out how to flatten them but geez it's hard. :barnie
The little things do not want to uncurl and I'm scared to break him. :barnie:barnie

You won't break him, honestly the worst possible thing is to leave him with the feet. Just get some painter's tape and create little booties for him.

I don't think I want to do this yet.
He is just 12 hours old. I think I am going to hold off because trying to straighten his toes to tape them is a nightmare. I just can not do it right now.

Never have used Poultry Cell. If you think it helps let us know.

I know, it's hard enough to tape pheasant toes, it's insanely hard to tape quail toes.
Get someone to hold the chick, you straighten the toes and the correct angle and push them down on a piece of tape, sticky side up, cover the top with another piece of tape and then trim the excess tape away. Easier said than done but easier with 4 hands.
