Do you have a neighbor or family member who can look after in exchange for eggs while you are traveling?

I can't imagine not having chickens now.

I had a neighbor look after them when we went away for two weeks last year and I was so ticked off when I got home and the water they were drinking was disgusting he never cleaned out the container- I don't even think he had given them fresh water while I was gone.

Two weeks might be pushing it in the summer but I have my girls set up so I can go away for a week at a time, probably longer but I was only ever away for a week. It can be done.

Wow! What a tight timeframe. Mine have never taken less than 2 days to all pop out
