➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

My oh my!
Yeah, I seen all that too
I seen a peanut stand, heard a rubber band
I seen a needle that winked its eye
But I be done seen 'bout ev'rything
When I see a elephant Coturnix Quail fly (What d'you say, boy?)
I said when I see a elephant Coturnix Quail fly
I seen a front porch swing, heard a diamond ring
I seen a polka-dot railroad tie
But I be done seen 'bout ev'rything
When I see a elephant Coturnix Quail fly
I saw a clothes horse, he r'ar up and buck
And they tell me that a man made a vegetable truck
I didn't see that, I only heard
Just to be sociable, I'll take your word
I heard…
I heard a fireside chat, I saw a baseball bat
And I just laughed till I thought I'd die
But I be done seen 'bout ev'rything
When I see a elephant Coturnix Quail fly
Well, I be done seen 'bout ev'rything
When I see a elephant Coturnix Quail fly (With the wings)
When I see an elephant Coturnix Quail fly

Many years ago, I was nannying for a five-year-old. The very first day, his uncle was there with his baby girl. I was asked to watch her too. They left without instruction. All day that baby was in her walker, or being carried. She wouldn’t even cruise when I put her down.
The mother and uncle returned as the children were waking from their afternoon naps. My employer stood the baby up, and walked away. The girl I thought was 7-8 mos was more like 10, and could walk just fine. :th Her cousin didn’t tell me either, and that surprised me. I’m just glad she didn’t jump up, and run off when I put her down outside!
The things I don’t know can happen... I still don’t understand why nothing I’ve seen, articles, threads or videos, mentioned it.

Hi everyone! Newbie here. :)
I just joined byc the end of last week.
It’s been so fun reading this thread from the beginning-it took me awhile :p
I got my first 8 quail in October, and they have been so much fun. I gave my brother’s family a bagful of the little eggs when we visited at Christmas, and after trying them he asked if I would give him some to try hatching! Well, of course!
Only, then I started having problems with the boy being too rough on the girls & switched him out to try a different one... twice :hmm, built a new bigger, comfier hutch and added fun things to amuse them and give the girls some ways to avoid the Mr.
So this weekend I finally rolled up my sleeves and got out my lil incubator that I got “just to test fertility” ;) and put in 9 eggs. Well, today we have 3 cute little heartbeats and 6 blanks. Not what I was hoping, but better than I’d feared! I wonder if I made it TOO easy for the girls to get away from the boy...
Anyway, we’ll see how this goes... the kids keep asking “How much longer till they hatch???”. It’s gonna be a long couple of weeks! :lau
