➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Ya know... if you have an iPod, iPad or second iPhone, there’s an app for a baby monitor to watch the incubator.
You are also evil. People obsessing and you give them another avenue to obsess. See but no touch. I'd rather not even see. :tongue

So we can now monitor our @Texas Kiki inspired, @Kullas staggered hatches on a @BullChick baby monitor while streaming to utube while pretending to work. Information over load.

I love it. :lau

:caf Doesn’t the Apple watch have video too?

Update: six in the brooder, one in the bator drying and resting after I had to assist as she was shrink wrapped (downside to getting chicks out to put in brooder periodically I suppose). Only two eggs left! One egg is still just a tiny pip but I can hear action inside, and the last egg has not pipped and I don’t think I hear anything...today is day 19, would it be ok to float test that last one or should I wait until day 20?

Happy to report that the little shrink-wrapped chick I helped finish hatching this morning is doing much better this afternoon...this morning, she was understandably weak and exhausted and I wasn't sure she'd make it to lunchtime (when I could come home from work to check on her)...when I got home at noon, she was standing on her own, her neck had strengthened to support her head, her eyes were open, and she was chirping! Another chick had hatched earlier and was much more active than she so I moved it into the brooder and added a bottlecap of lukewarm water and some finely ground feed for her while she continues recuperating...official hatch count is up to 8 with 7 in brooder! Only one egg left in the 'bator (the one with no pips noted above), going to give it until the end of the day tomorrow (end of day 20) then call it if no action.

I bought two Wyze cameras so I can keep an eye on things while I am away from home.
I will have one set up at my bator for my upcoming hatch for sure.
