āž” Quail Hatch Along🄚

That thing's a beast.

We might have had all of the north american apex predators at one point but I do not think California can ever beat you guys for terror factor. Our very own dear mini-Australia <3
Actually it's kinda small, alot of times you'll see them 5' to 6' and big around as a tennis ball.

It's not quite on the lake nor is it one of those giant monstrosities but it is on a giant hill near the lake and building horizontally is very cost-prohibitive.

I think it would blow over in the wind.

But I have been thinking maybe rabbits up top and some quail running around loose on bottom.
We rented some of those crazy houses on the nevada side, the family for a cousins wedding, and one of them had 5 levels...was a LOT of freaking stairs :th
A friend sent me these pics. She's a member here but doesn't come on here much anymore. Those are peacock eggs, 1 was already swallowed. Notice: it was shedding.

That's truly terrifying what kind of snake is that?

Also does anyone know of a good organic spray that I can use around the house and aviary to keep ants, black widows, and other unpleasant spiders away/dead???
I've used cinnamon to help keep ants out of the house when they try to relocate due to rainy season. Sprinkle a unbroken line around the base of the house, or wherever you are trying to keep them out. They navigate using scent trails, the cinnamon disrupts their ability to "see" the trail the other ants left. You have to use a lot though, and renew if it gets washed away.

I thought you meant cinnamon your rabbit.

I was very confused.

This book is pretty good for ideas to get rid of bugs without going crazy with chemicals.

Like Salatin’s ā€œRaken (rabbit/chicken) House.ā€ The old hens make their living by incorporating bunny pebbles into the deep litter on the ground, thus keeping the air sweet and producing valuable compost. I’m not certain quail could do that, but nevertheless you could call it a ā€œRaquail Houseā€ or maybe a ā€œQuabbitry.ā€ :lau:lau:lau

Yeah I've heard of that before. Someone in pville told me to do a vinegar/cinnamon/orange/oregano mix as a spray but that is a lot of work. We used to use ortho home defense but the smell is very cancerous.
