➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Shizzle sticks. They are his own eggs.
I'm off my rocker.
My bad.
Anyone have some thoughts on keeping a vitamin and/or electrolyte solution around when hatching chicks? Should I automatically give them some for a while? Only if distressed? Any particular brand you prefer?

Thanks!
Nutri-Drench.
I give it for the first few days...mixed in the water.

Always have on hand! Can save a chick or help to correct deficiencies at birth. I use rooster booster but mostly because I haven't run out of my first bottle yet and people swear by nutridrench.

I use nutridrench, sometimes Sav-a-Chick. Give it to them for the first few days of life, but more diluted than the dose for chickens. I think it helps give new chicks a boost.

i purchased a bottle of nutridrench that i usually mix in first bottle of water. past that i’ve been really happy with life-lytes tabs from rural king....i also mix in ACV occasionally.
I use this once a week in my chicken's water during the summer.

I have this too and have used it for baby quail before.

Spend two weeks in an alkali desert in late summer every year and you will never again underestimate the importance of electrolytes

On the other end of the spectrum, it's been HAILING here!
It's June...
Almost.

I’m so glad that your bottle has some dripping down too.

It’s finally above freezing overnight tonight. It’s been in the thirties for about a week.
