➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

107 and the longest it could have been was three hours...the time I slept.
:barnie:he:barnie the prognosis isn't good, 3 hours is a long time if it was at that temp for that long...but that doesn't necessarily mean the internal egg temps got that high. Did you take the top off and let it cool back down or just adjust the temp and wait for it to come down to were it should be on it's own?

 yikes! i’ve put the poison trap under the deck that we used to help in the shed the last couple years.....also still have a small live trap i can put out. since we added the netting there as extra protection over 2x4 and hw cloth, i’m hoping it doesn’t get through.
There are super cool zapper traps too if conventional ones don't work

Heck yeah I ripped the top off quick.

I'm so sorry @Texas Kiki . That's so stupid. Nature apparently felt undermined by your hatching ability and decided to throw a fit :hugs
Thanks.
I'll live.

I'm watching The incubator like a hawk... Just counting down the minutes until it gets dark out.

I rewrote my notes...I'm ready to see what has changed.

I did noticed that one of the ones I thought was a clear the other day had veins this morning.

Casper's bonded buddy has been visibly off since he died :hitNo symptoms other than listlessness and appetite loss, certainly none that Casper was exhibing (hypoxic, blood in nostrils). I think he is just depressed. He never liked the other hen he's in with as much. I am sad.
:hugs
