I actually found a local breeder that has celadon birds from two unrelated lines. I was considering getting some from JMF otherwise.
Approx all celadon birds come from the jmf original stock he imported 10+ yrs ago, at least the American birds. But I think he's been collaborating with other breeders to diversify the gene pool while keeping the ce stronger.
That's awesome you have someone local!! I am stoked there's someone else doing celadon too. We will have to compare for sure, did the breeder say what kind of plumage colors to expect?

2.5 week olds. Whites are pretty.

HOW do you get them to stay that clean?! :rant

I brought two trios to play outside yesterday and brought back six unrecognizably brown things.
No clue. They stay in their coop. Not as wild as the chickens. Little bathing. They do throw food all over the place. Just shoveled it up and took it to the chicken yard for the ladies to pick through.

The chickens prefer picking through poop than eating their rations. I'm so confused.

I took the feeders out of the chicken chick's area to let them clean up their mess. They all decided bath time and rolled in it. Worse than puppies.

Hey @Texas Kiki and @RUNuts do you guys think I should lock down on day 14 or day 15?
Either one...it doesn't matter.

I don't increase humidity until I see an external pip.
I take the eggs out of the turner on either day...this time I will take them out on day 14 for no real reason.
