View attachment 1818489 9 babies in the brooder, popped cap on #10 but not sure if it will survive as it was in egg zipped too long. Only lost the 2 that broodies smashed the eggs so this is my best hatch rate yet!! 1 scarlet, 1 scarlet tux, 4 pearl, 2 snowy, 1 roux pharaoh....#10 is a yeller

@Texas Kiki I'm sorry about your little dude. I have had them do the insistent flip-over / post-legged thing and not correct even with vitamins and it is exhausting and depressing. I hope yours surprises you with a turn-around. Single chick left would be annoying.

i meant to weigh it for @Texas Kiki because when hubby saw it he said he felt sorry for the hen that laid that one!! I didn’t think double yolkers happened like that in quail and I was considering putting it in the incubator until i saw that it was cracked!

I get double yolk eggs all the time. Bonus for my fried egg samiches!
