supposedly you have better luck “taming” a solo according to an article I read on here when I first became interested in quail! But IME with my solo, she was more skittish and stand-offish even when I put her with others (pheasant chicks, rabbit, and gen-pop) the only bird she liked was stuffed rooster mama that she cuddled with that first 2 weeks!

This bird will have no choice but to be tame.
I will mess with it daily.

Mr Sean i showed my dh your birds and before i could tell him ur offering eggs he gave me a look that made me give up

Some quails go completely limp when you pick them up while others freak out the entire time you hold them. For those quails, I'm not sure there's anyway to convince them you're not a predator...

One of mine spit up on my husband when he picked it up to help me do a weigh in. Freaked me out at first. I didn’t know if it got squeezed too hard. Pretty sure it was just being dramatic though.
