➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

:wee
I separated this current hatch of eggs into two in my hatching app to keep track of the fridge eggs separately.
I am afraid I will be losing the guessing game on how many of those will hatch.

I added this list to post number one for now so I can find it quick come hatch day.

Lost another B#4 chick yesterday. Can't tell you why. 26 remaining. The size difference between them. Way more small ones than the backyard eggs. Not quite half size wise. Very interesting, though.

B#3 the small wild male has almost caught up with the huge white ones. Almost, he is still small compared to them.

@Thornflower_gal Rose, update please, dear. Thank you. How are you getting along with your quail adventure?

the babies I just released are trying!! for some reason this batch has decided to live by the gate and try to escape every time I go in to feed!! no heads have been pulled off yet but a little falb fee has already been roughed up a little :barniealso heard one crying that had managed to wedge itself in between branches of the snowball bush! i managed to wiggle it out without injury.
hatch day update: several pips but 2nd guessing my set time as incubator still says day 16:he may be waiting a bit:pop

I'm sorry guys, I've just been so tired lately I haven't checked back here in a while:caf. I am at 30 chicks now, and they are 2 weeks old. They have lots of pretty feathers now. 3 are wild type, 12 italian, 11 tibetan, and 4 tuxedos. I will send pics when I can. I caught a rat snake in the chicken pen yesterday, thank goodness my quail pens are snake-proof! Now I have a lot of posts to read through!
