Bummer. I was hoping it would be a lighter weight option to haul home from the store compared to bags of dirt.It really is shredded coconut. Pretty stringy for bathing in.

Itās what we hermit crab owners use.
My brother uses it as bedding in his snake terrarium. It worked with for quail too. Its best to expand it (you add water) and then let it dry a bit so it becomes absorbent but fluffy. It is a bit pricy though compared to pine shavings.

Anyone know if the texture might be right for that or would it be too course? Or maybe they make different kinds?
