They can, of course occur anywhere, and there are tons of faults in California besides just the San Andreas, but it seems that even so some areas donāt get them very often? They, of course, can, but donāt usually? I think thatās all El Dorado was saying. Not that they can never occur anywhere else but just that they are most common in those two areas, which is right from what Iāve seen.
Even according to this map there is quite a wide range of areas with none.
