I think the boots are making it worse. It can't stay off its back with them on. I'm going to give him another day, but I don't think it's going to make it.

Edit: I tried putting it in the brooder with the other chicks, but they immediately began to peck at its feet. I don't want to cull another!

Im sorry dear, hatching is tough, and we strive to do our best but it is what it is. Id still give him more time before making a final decision anyway.

Down thank you, and Barry is about 75 miles due west from me. A tree fell at my neighbors place across the st no harm done just a mess shes at her boyfriends house anyway so i took her dog she left tied up out there but the water hasnt come up yet. Our bags are packed if it does come up, itll be a race to throw everyone and every 100 bird and all 4 dogs(now that i went n took on my neighbors dog but i own 3) into the backs of the trucks. My house is raised but ive seen the water come up in the pasture behind us if it goes past the shed its high enough that it would only be 6 inchs from getting into the house then it would be full on panic n run cuz it comes up fast. Tumro i expect after days of rain the water will be the concern, today the tree should fall. The anticipation is killing me the damn thing jus need to go ahead n get on the ground so that im sure it wont be on the house.
