Oh, you are looking for a bird cage, get a small one. Put 1/4" hardware cloth on the bottom wire.

Yes to pickled eggs! But omg the peeling.

I wish the instant pot trick worked with such tiny eggs but I feel like they'll be overcooked by the time it even gets up to pressure.

We do ours in instapot....3 min on and let set 3 min before venting then transfer to icewater. Shake in sealed container of water and shell peels off easily!!!!

I had a bit of a scare when I got home! The side of the coop that isn't quite finished had come open and I didn't see a single chick! Then I heard a bit of thumping from the inside of a hiding box, and five were in there. I started looking around the garden for the other three, and they were under the coop in the area that I haven't quite finished skirting with hardware cloth. All eight chicks safe and sound, back inside! The ones that were under the coop were so hungry and thirsty. The poor things.

The coop should be finished this weekend. The two part run will be next, but that is a bit less urgent.
