And then there were two. Both of my batches have hatched one by one over days. Is this normal?

it’s normal to have a couple early hatchers.....in my experience with myshire eggs (before my incubator decided to screw up) most of my “healthy” hatches occurred in the first 24 hours of day 17 (which started for you this evening). you can have a couple early and a couple later and still be in normal range. If you happen to need to allow eggs to settle again, I would recommend storing in area below 70*. I keep mine in laundry room/bedroom area that generally stays 68 or lower.

Ahhh jmf is resending my 120 eggs this week. Friend donated an incubator and picked up another one (no coolerbator for me yet) today. One is like this (not sure the egg capacity)and other is a hova bator styro one(140 quail egg capacit)?

Should I use alcohol to clean them? The dome guy is tricky with humidity, I'm thinking I need to put some sponge pieces in the water trays. Gonna run them tomorrow after I clear space in the basement for them. If the big one is stable should I just run that one or if they're both good should I split the eggs up into each one?

The old saying, "don't put all your eggs in one basket', nuff said!

Hey @mixedUPturk , I saw you were looking through my albums of buttons and pheasants....those pics were taken for specific reasons except for the hummer....they look terrible because they were molting. Someone asked how I keep my birds looking so good, so I posted some pics of what they look like when they molt! pretty sad looking birds when they molt!

I stole some goats once they had pneumonia mom had just given birth in 20* weather and i had to give em shots of penicillin(which i am deathly allergic to) but at least i told that guy what i was doing and he went along with it. There was a dog once who was left abandoned for 2 wks and if id seen those people i mayve been carted off

You know the gorgeous dots i raise? I bought them local from a BYCer i very much respect and love they were in Hard(!!!) molt and she kept reassuring me



Man jus like i told her, i know who keeps good care of their birds but u might caption them for people who donno

Ok hopefully I can fine tune them into stability! But now I have a quail auto turner...that I can eventually shove into a cooler!!! Yessss. But I don't have until eventually

No not at all, most of the pics in my albums are a result of someone asking a question or something about a bird. When the switch was made to the new system, my pics got all mixed up...wrong albums. I've just been too lazy to go into them and fix them....plus everytime I put pics in them, someone comes along and puts them on the web! I just go to the internet to look at my birds.

Not yet, but one egg is very cracked. It may hatch before I leave for work in half an hour.

Edit: The first egg that I saw pipped was about 36 hours ago. No progress since. It's probably dead, isn't it?

2nd edit: When I left, the one I thought was hatching wasn't moving, but the one next to it was busy breaking its way out. I hope to have at least two more when I get home. I kind of wish I could take the day off, but it's finals week.
