All 8 of the ones after the splay are pretty healthy. One had slightly in curled toes but i always thought it was minimal and would correct. All 13 of the cots are healthy. I had to break out the big brooder cuz the ducks came early and i havent put the quailies outside yet.

Dont Do This At Home!

And no need to lecture me, i am experienced, i know this is a bad deal and it was not ment to be like this, nor will it stay like this. Tumro is a swap and DH will be home w the children while my day is all bird crazy :love

Based on what Mr Sean told me when he saw my hatchlings, the red breasted blue cockbirds like your Benjie, look like the chickie in the center of your picture or the dark smallest one in the first pic i posted. That color strain is feather sexing from hatch as well as the wild type hens.

here’s my little benjamin button.....i believe he is the chick front left in the brooder pic

#8 had popped when I woke up today. #9 was still only partially zipped, like he'd been for the last 15 hours with no progress; he had been trying his best, but seemed out of energy now. I took the cap and membrane off, and the rest is up to him. :caf
It was a surprisingly easy assist. I've had more trouble with chicken eggs.

My hatch is officially finished. 56% of fertile eggs, 50% of all eggs; 9 chicks.
High, but your a strong woman and i have faith! Can u get an* urchin to hold the ant? I assume it looks bad not like itll fix itself sorry!
Potentially, but not squishing it is a different story, lol. Yes, when compared to the other chicks' regular wobbly toes, it's clearly different. It reminds me of when I had a chicken chick hatch with curled toes. I'll wait a few more hours just in case I am wrong.
