➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

:fl :fl :fl

Im tryn to get outa here and running late but ill check in when i get settled over there.

50% is par for course not bad and 9 when u ordered a dozen is stellar! Sorry about your toes chick but i think you did good :highfive:

I'm quite happy, especially since hatch rates have sucked all year. Last year I averaged 96%. This year, I'm averaging something insane like 35%, and not on shipped eggs either. I'm suspecting it's my lockdown incubator, which had been in storage for a while and was just pulled out this spring. I need to look into the heating mechanism to see if it could be malfunctioning the way I suspect it is.

Oh nevermind, I tryed going back, couldn't find the pics, so here's some pics of mine. I think @mixedUPturk , has a pic of a chick standing on a penny?

Home from the swap early as i started to fear heat strokes. Everyone was super interested in the quail. One guy had jus bought a slew of buttons from a guy who was selling them all off and he thought he was the only one in the area w the buttons. Only sold 3 birds but i sold All the eggs i brought w me and made 10$ just on them.

Mr Sean i had taken pics of a button on a quarter and in a milk jug lid but not a penny

One of the older Buttons has a less severe curl to a few of the toes as well. The badly curved one is the assisted chick. I am thinking of leaving #1 alone because he can still walk and I really don't feel like bandaging up two chicks. :duc

:hugs i understand. Ive had cots who walk on their feet like Cs when i left em alone (im already too crazy to be tryn to put shoes on ants.) so i would recommend putn em down if they dont straighten out or be prepared for keeping handicapped things.
