Most of them pull data from MPLS. The key is how frequently they refresh they pull data on new listings and refresh data on existing listings. I found Redfin to be the most user friendly and frequently updated option. BTW, I heard about it from a mortgage broker who told me it's the her own source of choice.

And to get back to quail (sorry, don’t mean to derail yet again ), this might seem like a stupid question, but how many eggs do they lay per day? Just one like chickens? Cause I thought I read once that they were pretty prolific and could sometimes lay like two a day? Maybe I am remembering wrong or that is a myth? Just trying to figure out how many I might need if I wanted to sell some of the eggs and keep some.

And yes I know I would need to factor in all the possible boys I could get but I mean like adults/mature ones once I’ve already dealt with that.

Although also actually that said, can you keep just female quails without the males? Will they still lay like chickens do or is it different with game birds??

Just don’t know if people would buy or eat fertilized quail eggs?

I suppose before I do anything though I should work on the real job bit and/or finish all the chicken and garden projects/chores I have to do first.

But I’m hoping maybe I can finally get quail at least before the new year. Or at least start incubating them before then.

But if not then I guess I will have to wait.

Actually, might be better to not have to deal with a new species for the first time during winter. Might be best to wait a while and get used to having them first before winter hits. But idk. I guess we’ll see. Guess it depends on how fast I get all the other stuff done first.

I could get a 20- or 30-acre place with a house in decent shape for nearly half that at any given time. And that's with running water, a septic, and electricity! If you don't want those amenities, then you can go much, much cheaper.

And your neighbors! Bears pooping in the woods. Coyotes howling at all hours of the night. Masked bandits stealing everything not nailed down. Penguins pooping on the porch. Urchins and elves running amok. You really live in a rough area. Don't get me started on the white stuff...

Yeah, CA is pretty dang expensive. If you want land, water, septic, electricity, and a house you have to pay a ton. Most of the places I've been looking at are major fixers and still super high priced. The fun part is most people can't pay outright for it but the banks won't lend on it because of the land.

I will freely admit that if you want to live somewhere without neighbours that aren't, ah, inhaling the white stuff it'll be much more expensive—but hey, they haven't made trouble yet, and I've lived here a long time. I suppose some of the stuff that goes down here would be much more alarming if you weren't used to it. Still, crime rates are low.
