I just made the recipe I showed you earlier.

we’ve been enjoying our backyard today (after chores) and DH has been serenading me via karaoke including the song he sang to me at our wedding (nearly 25 years ago!) i’ve managed to get some video but promised him :fl that i wouldn’t post it!! Hodor has put his 2 cents worth in on the songs he doesn’t care for! but the game birds seem to be enjoying the music!
Just put the video on YouTube.
We will go find it there.

Yes, it's a glorious 30 seconds. After that... not so much.
What annoys me is how fast the evidence of that work vanishes. No matter how perfect I get either thing, I have to do it again that same day. :th It's the same reason that I dislike puzzles. I like cleaning my own spaces, such as the chicken coop. It's just frustrating when small cyclones undo everything in a half hour with no recognition that you just spent three precious hours out of your life making everything tidy and in order. I've learnt to simply spend just enough time on cleaning to keep it under control and to let perfection go; it's not attainable.

I suppose cooking would be more fun if I cared more about it. To me, food's just what keeps you alive long enough to do other stuff. Plus... picky eaters suck all the remaining fun out of it. Ungrateful brats.

I can roll with steady downward slopes in the visible return on things that I do. That's expected. It's just annoying when it looks more like a graph of nuclear half-life with no return on effort.

Preaching to the choir dearie --really i get it. Im no neat freak either but to get everything Really sanitized clean around here is like a mission to Pluto. If i didnt like it just a little bit ida run for the hills years ago if they didnt haul me out in a nice new white coat.
