I had 1/16 lavman eggs develop. The rest were clear/dried up/rotten...please pray the one is a girl!!!

I need a better shears for the next round. What kind did you get? Anyone else have recommendations?

The ones I gave her are literally $4 right now at home depot but they've always worked well for me. I do make sure to sharpen them every few birds though!

I even bought expensive tree trimming type cutters...they suck.
These work best for me.

I’m trying to understand how chicken skin is more difficult to cut through than bone. Ducks are impossible, but chicken skin?

Those look nice. My husband did the actual dispatching and said a notch at the base would have been helpful. He just used our straight kitchen shears. I think they’re like these: OXO Good Grips Multi-Purpose Kitchen & Herbs Scissors https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000KILLXM/?tag=backy-20

These look like my sewing scissors. Not sure I would sacrifice them for quail.

I got a pair of these from TSC for $9. Cuts clean through with one snip, no tugging necessary. They’re also great if you like to halve the quail for frying
