Sorry, I am a busy bee in the fall, compounded by too many trips booked (not a bad problem to have) and sudden freezing storms and bear activity (bad problems to have, esp when combined with the former).
I don't think so? Some people have tossed around that they are birds with only one copy of the gene but I don't even think that's the case based off of looking at mine. I think it's just a pigment found to varying degrees in the eggshell naturally and the celadon mutation just extends it. That's my best guess anyways.
The blue on the inside doesnt have anything to do with the celadon gene that makes the outside blue. Right @CoturnixComplex ? Anyone else?
