➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Obviously I could just take the eggs away but I’ve kind of got it in my head that it would be a pretty cool long shot if it actually worked.

And, I’m a sucker. :D
I say leave them be....experiment. :D

Yeah well it was when I first started hatching a long time ago so I had no idea what I was looking for and I walked into my room and there was an awful smell and there was nasty all over the incubator it was bad
What was your final number of hatched chicks?

Okay. So if she is still on them tonight do you think I can mark them and not stress her too much or do I have to stalk her until she leaves on her own?

Then I would probably just want to leave her with five or six maybe? I don’t know how many she has right now but I don’t want the flock to keep adding to it and not know which is which.

I have no clue. The answers similar to this question are, "it depends on the hen".

Try it and see. If all else fails, pop some eggs in the incubator and add them to the nest at the proper time? :pop

Keep in mind, if she is not isolated and the flock keeps adding, you will still have to disturb her daily to check for new ones.

These are all good points. Pretty sure it will sort itself out in a few days and she’ll just give up. I’m not interested in additional chicks for the sake chicks this time of year so I would be motivated by novelty only.

If she gives up, she gives up. If she keeps going I may try moving her to her own section of the coop.

Moving her could cause her to quit.
I think it would be better to move her now rather than waiting.
