@mixedUPturk, I've seen such eggs on a couple of occasions. I had one in the incubator the last hatch. Well, it wasn't fertile.

Ive gotten lots of neat eggs and i save them then blow out the innards but thats the coolest one to date.

Guys, I would like to thank you so much for cleaning my incubator! I candled all the chicken eggs last night, following your guidelines and now I have 7 eggs left and it is only day 14! I initially set 24, some were not fertile, 1 exploded and I did drop two fertile while I was candling (they were muts, so not a big loss).
Quail eggs are all ok and no quitters there.
Now what do I do with all this empty space in the incubator ?
I can't wait to start candling my other set of 54 chicken eggs.

Hows that working? I saw some finches on CL today and i always did want to do a combined aviary but im on the fence. Plus im not getn anymore pets for awhile jus curious.

Check out this egg i collected today, cot egg for sure no buttons mixed w the cots, but its the color of a buttons!

the finches are a riot! they get along great with the buttons....i’m hoping that when we rework the aviary, it will be secure enough to allow everyone some outside time in summer! DH still has plans to build the custom indoor cage but rat cage works for now......i had just forgotten how much mess indoor birds can make!

fee gene may in fact be that.....i am just passing on my “simplification” of it
