Quail getting into position to break out of the egg
Shouldn't you breed against that? I was told to get the head spots-- that the ones who come out plain are weaker and smaller and shouldnt be bred. the ones with spots on their wings are targets for bullys. Is this correct? Not an entirely reliable source-- hes one of those who had birds and sold them to me when i got started 5 yrs ago and he washed out since then.
Some of the ones I had, were big as jumbos, they weren't weak and just as healthy as the the ones with spots...infact you couldn't tell if there was a difference in size, between the two.

I got my A&M's by mistake. The guy I ordered from had them too, problem was I ordered African Harlequin quail eggs...and got A&M eggs instead.:lau someone else got my Harlequin eggs and I got their A&M eggs. He apparently didn't keep good records, he said he got a bunch of other peeps orders wrong, too! :gig

Yep, got the eggs but none hatched, I ordered some from a 'real' breeder and hatched 26/30 eggs.

Me either...they are kinda pretty...the all white but I need 'rainbow' color, that's why I raise pheasants.
