How long ago did they start popping?

Saturday night had the first one out.
Sunday night had 12 out.
Monday morning had 17 out.
Monday night I cracked one open that was shrink wrapped but it was still attached to the egg this morning. Not looking good for this one. Other 2 are kinda zipped. I opened one because the zipping was erratic and not connected. Malpositioned and stuck.

Monday night was 48 hours.

45 set. 21 fertile. 17-ish hatched. Quail Batch #8 is here. QB#8
Out of the 21, 19 were from Set 3, the Lucky girls (white) and 2 were from the Jumbo coop. Unlike the other 2 hatches, I'm pretty sure of the parentage of this group of chicks. Will see what they weigh in 8 weeks.

You want a white one? Have 7 dot heads here and 2 outside at 3 weeks. Sex to be determined and are NOT feather sexable.

When are you going to weigh big boy? I'll weigh the breeders soon. Got a small female that won't make weight.

I've never got a real infection from a cut either.

My shoulder’s been kinda messed up lately but I don’t think it’s injured or anything. Its been questionable for years haha

Um, I don't keep aggressive animals!
The bites that I have received from animals have been barely more than scrapes and likewise did not require care.

I watched someone die from sepsis. It sucked.

My button quail will immediately start calling like recorded in the first part of the video if I play the violin at a certain pitch. It's pretty funny.

Unfortunately, they also wake up and start calling if any of my other critters make noise or run around, which results in me mumbling half-awake threats to skin them alive at 3 AM because they think that chinchillas bouncing around are a code-red threat that MUST be responded to.

yep! The first time I heard Darth Vader calling, I was sound to sleep...I grabbed my pistol and went looking for the 'monster' that was loose in the house!
