Thisight be my favorite part of hatching.

I get super excited when I see the eggs start to wobble & hear little peeps!!! That is when I start having difficulty sleeping, I have to watch & check on them constantly.

I added Christmas tree lights to the rabbit cages last night to see if that kicks everyone's butt into laying.
I need to set homegrown + big boys eggs NOW.

It's so satisfying getting to hatch your own flocks eggs, continuing the bloodlines.

I have a MALE who makes a nest and spends good 10 Mon hiding every laid egg in the nest. I cannot post videos but it is amazing! He is on the top of the egg now in the nest he made.

Maybe his nest & clutch of eggs will kick a bit of "broody" into one of the hens.

I have discovered that my new incubator has a cool spot in the middle. I will avoid setting eggs there if I have a choice.

I have 3 thermometers in various places around the incubator. Oddly, the upper right corner is the warmest spot. I'll probably move the thermometers so I check the upper left and lower right corners as well. It's good to know your incubator before you put eggs in, right?

I'm cutting it much too close with my new incubator. My eggs & new bator will probably arrive at the same time, not the brightest decision I know.

Also...you'll want to learn what happens to the temperature when you take the turner out too.

Any hatch activity yet???

Anyone use/used the janoel-12 (Good Mother-GM9)? If so did you add the 100ml as per instructions or did you add lesser amounts every few days? I didn't have a humidity monitor to check what it had been running during my last hatches. I'm wanting to do whatever I can to boost my hatch percentage.

Throw the instructions that came with it away.

You MUST invest a few bucks in a humidity gauge.
