The birds & I discussed it and we decided not to keep winter all to ourselves, so you better prepare!

At four weeks, I'd give them some extra heating since they're not fully feathered yet. Mine are about the same age. I kicked them out into a coop last week, and tonight I plan to leave them outside without heat for the first time. It's only supposed to get into the mid to high 40s, though. It's been low 40's for the last week and I've left them with a heat lamp.

I went ahead and put their heat bulb back out there for them. They were very appreciative. My goats asked where their heat lamp was. I told them that as much as they've eaten they better shut up & count their blessings & snuggle up & suck it up .

I think vent sexing should be easy....

Yes they were easy to vent sex.
They all had balls too.
Only two had big balls though.

I made a nice deep bedding tray for my budgie and naybe coturnix cage. They like it so much they've decided to be quails and play on the ground.

Maybe a covered dirt box cave type thing so dirt doesn't fly all over your room.

They like water baths moreso, however im seeing one bathing in the shavings right now so its possible they would.

Huh, they don't eat the pine shavings? I've always bedded mine with paper towel because I figured they'd gorge themselves.
