Three of my quail cages are supposed to be rabbit cages.
I wrapped them in hardware cloth and they worked perfect for quail.

I thought maybe they were Easter bunnies. But no... guess not...

I'm not there yet.
Once I can actually off a quail myself I think about getting Easter bunnies.

I added Christmas lights a week or two ago to my rabbit cages.
I'm pretty sure they're worthless.

Based on my attempt, quail have a 2 week time clock to "get in the mood". After 2 weeks, I changed my mind and they started laying 10 eggs /12 hens. Therefore, wait 4 weeks before deciding. I have eggs.

For the meat eaters of my family... I made chicken taco quesadillas with bacon (I made quesadillas 4 weeks ago and now everyone wants them every week)

I made quesadillas and Crazy Lady wanted to know where I got the recipe cause they were that good. Hahaha! I invented it myself. Yours do look good. I have not mastered the tortilla making process. It is an art!

For dinner we had quail, brined with Italian seasonings and ACV, then placed on a bed of quinoa, with 1 cup water and 2 tbsp. butter and cooked in a lidded cast iron dutch oven at 325°F for 1 hour. Breast down, feet to the center. Side of green beans. Baked sweet potato with butter n cinnamon. Followed by a gluten free cinnamon coffee cake.

I am so full.

I don't know if I should leave her in with my Tibetan or put her in with my Roux Dilute. What do you think? My wild type boys weren't nice. One liked to pick & eat everyone's feathers.

I screwed up on one side. I put the 1/4" HWC on the bottom!
I'll hafta use a trowel to scrape crap through it, or just use more pans.... or both.

I just chopped off 20+ heads a couple days ago & fed them to the firepit. I guess I'm doing not so bad then, I figured it wasn't gonna get any easier by standing there looking at the little feathered creatures!
