Understandable! I haven’t done any buttons yet but I can only imagine....we used to leave the wings etc but figured out that there wasn’t enough meat there

I was hesitant to try buttons at first because they are so small. I've had all kinds of quail, but buttons taste the best to me. You just have to keep in mind that it will take a lot of breasts to feed one person. I take them to family dinners, more or less as a side. Or if I've only got 5 or so, I hoard them for myself.
