I was hesitant to try buttons at first because they are so small. I've had all kinds of quail, but buttons taste the best to me. You just have to keep in mind that it will take a lot of breasts to feed one person. I take them to family dinners, more or less as a side. Or if I've only got 5 or so, I hoard them for myself.

Do you breed them mainly for meat? Or pets/colors too? I was breeding mine for pets/colors only because I thought they wouldn't have enough meat on them to be worth it. Do you keep yours in pairs or in groups?
